Dunlop MSA British Touring Ca꧅r🌜 Championship series director Alan Gow said he was thrilled to see James Kaye finally break his podium duck at Oulton Park.

Kaye, who made his debut back in 1992 and has taken part in over 250 races, has been close in the past but finally ac♏hieved the feat in the opening race as he produced an assured display to hold off the chal💝lenge of reigning champion Matt Neal to take the final place on the podium.

"I don't think there would have been anyone in the pitlane who wasn't thrilled to see that," Gow told wuqian0821.com radio. "I forget the number but James has taken part in so many races🌳 in the championship and has never been on the on the podium so everyone was thrilled to see it and he did it on his own merit.

"He chose the right tyres for qualifying, as the two SEATs did in front 🐼of him, and he held it there for the whole race. He thoroughly deserved it and as did the team. The Synchro guys work so hard for three days of the week and then go off and do their day jobs - it's thoroughly deserved."

Kaye went on to take ninth in the second in race two, although technical problems prevented him from taking the start in the final race of tꦛhe weekend.
