Outspoken in his comments ⛎about Queensland Raceway last week, Jason Richards reckons that he has just the machine to solve the problem of the layout.

The Tasman Motorsport pilot labelled the Ipswich venue 'mind-numbing' in his preview to the latest round of the V8 Supercar series, claiming that driving there was 'as painful ⛄as pulling teeth', and his comments led to the chance to test a machine capable of 'tearing up' the circuit in a different way to normal for any racing driver.

The 30-year old swapped his regular Holden Commodore V8 Supercar for a Cavallo Earthworks 20-tonne Sumitomo excavator, reckoning t𒁏hat it was just the job for a spot of remodelling.

"After last week's controversies, we've had a really big think about how best to attack the track and, with the 20-tonner, we've now got a machine that we can really tear up the place with," Richards said, "I've had some serious ups and downs there in the past, but with a machine like this we could put in some hills, a few more curves, give the place some character which it desperately n💫eeds!"
