Court dismisses bid to stop Rally Australia
The Federal Court in Sydney today dismissed a last-minute attempt to stop next week's Repco Rally Au♊stralia, the tenth round in the 2009 W💫orld Rally Championship.
The court held🔯 an urgent hearing to hear an application for an injun♕ction by Ms Katie Milne, a Tweed Shire Councillor.
After Ms Milne's representative had presented her ca♔se, Justice Stone dism🍸issed the application because Ms Milne's case was without merit.
Garry Connelly, the🎐 chairman of Rally Australia's organising committee, said he was not surprised by the re💧sult.

Garry Connelly, the chairman 🌺of Rally Australia's organising committee, said he was not surprised by the result.
"We🔴 have always complied with all laws and have spent a lot of time and effort to achieve the highest environmental standards," Mr Connelly said.
He said that꧑ Rally Australia would now continue working to bring a world class event to the Northern Rivers on 3-6 September.
