McLaren-Mercedes ace Jenson Button made history this week when he became the first driver ever to lap the legendary Bathurst ci🉐rcuit in Australia at the wheel of an F1 car💞 ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Driving a 2008-spec MP4-23, the 2009 F1 World Champion set a new unofficial lap record around t𒈔he four-mile Mount Panorama Circuit in New South Wales - some 20 seconds quicker than had ever been achieved previously - before proceeding to swap cars with multiple V8 Supercar Champion and five-time Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes.
