Dutch MotoGP: Assen extends MotoGP contract to 2021

Assen, already confirmed on the MotoGP ca𓂃lendar until 2017, has had its contract exteꦛnded until at least 2021.
The new deal was announced on Thursday of this year's Duওtch TT, w⛎hich is the only venue that has been on the motorcycle grand prix calendar since the inaugural 1949 season.
"There's a reason why Assen is the longest serving track on the calendar," said Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta. "It's f🐻ast nature and excellent layout make it ideal not only for MotoGP bikes and their support classes, but also for the vast number of spectators that turn out every yea🔜r.
"The contract was already sig💎ned until 2017, yet we felt the time was right to really cement it on the c🤡alendar and keep the pinnacle of motorcycle racing at the Cathedral for many years to come."
"The unique status of the Dutch TT (since 1925) is confirmed by the extension of the co🦹ntract," added Arjan Boss, President of the TT Assen circit. "This new contract gꦗives us the opportunity for a long term investment".
