S2000 spec cars lose 40 kilos after being down on pace relative to the BTCC spec cars at the season startไing round of the series at Donington Park.

Plato was particularly vocal af🌳ter the 𝓰round, likening the event to an 'egg and spoon' race.

"There needs to be an equal footing," Plato said at the time. "It's clear t൩o everybody to see, you don't need to be a rocket scientist. The BTCC car has more power, it has more downforce, it's got better brakes, it's got better suspension - need I go on - and our car weighs 10kg less according to their regulatiꦅons. Something needs to be done."

And lo and behold, something has happened with the 40kg weight loss for th▨e Toledos, which conveniently enough comes in time for the high speed Thruxton circuit neꦺxt on the calendar, which should suit the SEAT car down to the ground, just as it did in 2005.

Also affected by the change will be the HPI Racing F൩riends Reuntied Lexus, although it is not expected to chalཧlenge for podiums.
