But results in testing, along with comments made by Lecuona after Portimao, have suggested the 2024 sea♍son could be another very tough one.
But Escamez, who replaces former rider Leon Camier as team manager, is hopi𝕴ng his experienc♊e can be vital to Honda’s resurgence.
Formerly part of the MotoGP paddock, Escamez t✤old WorldSBK.com: “I will strive to keep the team united and working together towards the same goal.
“I have held ⛦various positions within a team throughout my career, both on the mechanical side and in coordination roles.
“Th♏is has given me the opportunity to understand people and their feelings, so I want to ensure that everyone is able to give their best ꧅for the team.”
Wi🧸th regard to the Japanese manufacturer’s goals in 2024, chal🐷lenging for top five finishes is their aim.
WorldSBK has arguably never been stronger, and with BMW looking strong particularly in the hands of Toprak Razgatlioglu, Ducati, Yamaha and Kawasaki all showing more potential in testing, ac🔯hieving those types of results could be very challenging.
“The m🌜ain challenge is to become competitive with the new bike as soon as possible”, added Escamez. “There are many updates across all areas of the machine, so we need to bring it all together and find a base setup that allows our riders to fully exploit the bike's potential.
“The next challenge will be to cꦓonsistently compete for top-five positions and secure some podium finishes.
“We are aware that this is a sigꦓnificant challenge, considering the high level of competition in the championship, but 𒈔we are working tirelessly to achieve that goal.”
