Aston Martin’s revamped 2024 F1 car has💖 offered🙈 a clue about a key concept change that will also feature on Mercedes’ W15.
The Silverstone-based꧒ outfit kicked off a big week of car launches by revealing their brand new AMR24 challenger for the upcoming 2024 F1🎀 season on Monday.
As part of many changes to their new car, Aston𝔍 Martin have switched to a push-rod rear suspension layout.
This change is also set to be incorporated into the design of the W15, which will be unveiled on Wednesday♛, given✃ Aston Martin takes the same gearbox and rear suspension layout as Mercedes.
“The front suspension layout, that is a ꧂similar layout to what we had on the AMR23, so still a pusဣh-rod,” Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows explained.
“We’ve inherited new suspension from 💫Mercedes. They give us the gearbox and the structure of th🔜e rear suspension, so that has changed slightly from last year as well.
“So, there’s a change🀅ꦚ on the rear, but on the front it’s very similar.”
Fallows described the AMR24 as a “strong evolut🌟ion” of Aston Martin’s 2023 car.
“We’ve made changes all over the car. It’s v൲ery different in many ways,” he sai🤪d.
“The majority of the parts have changed on it, but it is still really essentially a strong evolution of last year’s car. We♚ have kin💎d of built on the end of AMR23.
“The obvious things that you’ll see that are different, are things like🌳 the nose and front wing. Bodywork will be different.
“But there’s also quit🌜e a lot of stuff under the hood, which hopefully you won’t see! We will obvio♛usly try and keep some of that under wraps.”

Aston Martin made a stunning start to the 2023 season by emerging from the winter as Red Bull’s nearest challengers, with 168澳洲5最新开奖结果:Fernando Alonso taking several podiums in the early rounds.
The team’s performance dipped midway through the campaign as r💮ival teams overtook them in the development race, and that is something Aston Martin are keen to address with their new car.
“We’re veღry pleased with the step that we’ve made over the winter,” Fallows added.
“We think we have made a step on last year’s car, which is🔯 what we wanted. But in truth it i🌃s a short off-season and we were developing things that were relevant for this year quite late on into last season.
“The main aim for us is really to make sure that this car is a good platform to p๊ut those developments on during the season.
“We’ve seen particularly last season, bu🔯t also the season before, the in-season development race is absolutely fierce and we want to be as competitive in that as we have been going into the new season.
ꦰ“So that's what we’ve been really focused on, to make sure that we’🃏ve got a good, stable basis for us to go and develop the car and keep those updates coming and keep the performance coming.”
