BCN down to one at Monza.

BCN Competicion will be down to just a single car for this weekend's GP2 S🅘eries finale at Monza after lead drive෴r Adrian Valles chose to focus on his sportscar commitments.

A disappointing end to what has been another tricky season for the Spanish team, BCN will be the first outfit in series' four-year existence to arrive at a round with just a single vehi✨cle which, together with the fact they are in the bottom three of the standings for the second consecutive season, won't do their reputation, or their hopes of retaining their GP2 grid slot, much good.

Although World Series by Renault race winner Salvador Durཧan was being tipped for an appearance, BCN will nonetheless persevere with just one machine for Carlos Iaconelli, who himself only arrived at the team in place of Milos Pavlovic from round four on🉐wards.

Coming about because regular driver Valles, who scored BCN's only poജints this season with a fourth place at Monaco, has decided to concentrate on his position in the Le Mans Series racing for Epsilon-Euskadi, a statement posted on the team's website confir🐭med that they will run just Iaconelli this weekend.

"BCN Competicion regretfully inform that will unfortunat𒆙ely not be able ಌto operate with two single seaters during this weekend at Monza. At this stage the Team prefer not to make any further comment regarding this situation.

BCN are currently classified 11th in the GP2 team standings with five points, although they are now in a precarious situation this weekend by being just a single point aheaꩵd of David P🐟rice Racing and Durango Corse.
