Dragon retains Lopez for 2018/19 Formula E season

Jose Maria Lopez will on💝ce again race for the Dragon Formula E squad during the 2018/19 campaign. 

Lopez, a triple Worl𒀰d Touring Car champion, scored 14 points as he finished 17th in the drivers' standings last season in what was his second year with the American squad. 

He made🦂 his Formula E debut with Virgin in season three but switched to Dragon as Neel Jani's replacement following the 2017/18 Hong Kong opener.

Jose Maria Lopez will once again race for the Dragon Formula E squad during the 2018/19💯 campaign. 

Lopez, a triple World Touring Car champion, scored 14 points as he finished 17th in the drivers'𝓀 standings last season in what was his second year with the🦹 American squad. 

He made his Formula E debut with Virgin in season three but switched to Dragon as Neel Jani's replace🐼ment following the 2017/18 Hong Kong opener. 

"I am really excited to continue wi💧th the team and I am looking forward to being on the track to achieve our objectives," said Lopez. 

"The atmosphere is great. The team has evolved so much since I joined last year, and now𒈔 we have the new Gen 2 c🍬ar, so we are starting fresh, and I can’t wait to be on track with the team for the first race in Riyadh.

"The team has put in an incredible effort during this, and I am looking forwar⭕d to working with them to keep improving ♓and evolving throughout the season."

Dragon team owner Jay Penske added: “José showed a lot of p🙈romise in Season 4 and has been an invaluable asse﷽t in the development of the package for Season 5.

Dragon is yet to announce who will partner the Argentinian in season five, though the team's test and res൲erve driver and Formula 2 racer Maximilian Gunther has been linked with the second seat.
