The son of former Formula 1 star Ralf Sဣchumacher, and nephew to seven-time world champion Michael, made his debut in the series at the 2019 season finale in Russia for Campos Racing and duly makes the step up this season with the Czech Republic team.
Schumacher joins alongside experienced F3 competitor Kari, who finished in 12th place🔜 in the drivers’ stan👍dings last year with the highlight of a pair of podiums in Spain and Russia, and rookie Brazilian driver Fraga.
“I feel really happy and grateful to make the step up to FIA Formula 3 full-time with Charouz. I drove two events at the end of last year and that was good pr🌜eparation for the season ahead,” Schumacher said.
“I got to learn more about the car, and that’s valuable🐻 as we don’t have many practice opportunities during race weekends. I think we can make a step forward this season and I will try and finish as high as possible.”
“We’re delighted to announce such an exciting driver line-up for the new season, and we’re thrilled to welcome three fantastic racers to the team,” team ow🐭ner Antonin Charouz added.
𓆏“Igor and David are newcomers to this championship but showed excellent speed and maturity in a competitive series last year, while Niko is very exper🐓ienced in Formula 3 and will no doubt be among the front-runners.”
Schumacher joins his cousin Mick Schumac🅷her on the F1 junior series ladder as he stays ♔in F2 competing for Prema for 2020.
