The Lexmark Indy 300 carnival on Queensland's spectacular Gold Coa♛st annually features some of the best drivers from around the world, but sixteen year oldꦫ New Zealander Nic Jordan has the claim to fame of being the youngest driver ever to take the track in the fourteen years that there has been competition on the tough 4.47km concrete canyon.

Racing as part of a program that includes well-known Champ Car Stars like Paul Tracy, Jimmy Vasser and Sebastian Bourdais, Jordan, despite his youth, has continued to prove that he has the skill and determination to one day emulate the stars that drive the power𓄧ful 750horsepower Champ Cars.

Nic's age, or lack thereof, hasn't stopped him from pushing his Championship winning Coopers Pale Ale Dallara F398 Speiss Opel to the limit this weekend, driving just as hard as any of the Champ Car 𝓰drivers that have taken to the circuit this weekend.

"I am really enjoying driving here," commented Jordan after Saturday's second race of the weekend. "It is a great experience being here for my first drive on a street circuit in a For🎶mula 3 car, and I am learning more every time I hit the track." He said.

"The more laps I c𝔉omplete here, the better I am getting. We have had a few mechanical dramas that have hur🦋t us a bit, but it is still a lot of fun."

Also competing on the Lexmark Indy 300 program this weekend is expatri🦄ate Kiwi Jim Richards, who's CV speaks for itself - 7 Bathurst Wins, 3 Australian Touring Car championships and the inaugural Carrera Cup championship just some of the incredible results the man called "Richo" has achi🌼eved in his successful career.

"What Jim has achieved in his career is awesome," said Jordan. "🅺He has been a great role model for many New Zealand drivers before me, and I can only hope that when I am as old as he is, I will be just as fast!" he joked.

At just 16 years of age, Jordan all ready ꦬhas some six years of racing behind him, and plenty of years ahead to create his own slice of Australian and New Zealand Motorsport history. 2004 has already seen Nic make a good start, Nic having dominated the Yokohama Trophy class of the Australian Formula 3 championship, wrap🐈ping up the series with one round to go despite missing the first round of the championship.

The reason? He was too young to drive a racecar on Australia♍n Soil..
