Lundgaard fastest overall on second day of F2 test in Bahrain

Alpine ♒Formula 1 junior Christian Lundgaard set the fastest time in Formula 2 pre-season testing as he topped Tuesday's morning session in Bahrain.
Lundgaard was the only man to dip under the 1m42s at the Bahrain Int🌺ernational Circuit as he set 1m41.697s - only 0.2s shy of Callum Ilott's pole position time♎ from last year's race.
The ART Grand Prix driver completed 29 laps in the🔜 morning session and a further 45 laps in the afternoon where he f🐻ocused on race simulations.
Lundgaard will be eyeing a strong start to the 2021 season ൲after a p𒆙romising rookie campaign.
The morning session was where the majority of the 😼fasﷺtest lap times were set.
Bent Viscaal and Marcus Armstrong were 0.3s shy of Lundgaard's benchmark, while Dan Ticktum headed the afternoon time꧑sheets with a 1m42.185s, fourth overall in the day's classification.
Ticktum completed 66 laps across the two sessions on day two in Bahrain as he continues to adapt to life at Carlin having made the move fro🤪m DAMS.
Liam Lꦰawson, Robert Shwartzman and Juri Vips were all within a tenth of each other in the morning session, all setting lap times in the 1m42.2s.
17-ye🅰ar-old F2 rookie Theo Pourchaire completed 42 laps in the second ART Grand Prix car to finish seventh in the morning session. In the afternoon, he completed 47 laps as attentions turned to race trim.
