Luca Ghiotto will make the switcꦫh to the UNI-Virtuosi Racing 𝔍Formula 2 squad to complete the team’s line-up for the 2019 season.

The Italian, who claimed four podiums on his way to finishing eighth in the 2018 F2 championship with Campos, will link up with FIA European Formula 3 Cha꧅mpionship graduate Guanyu Zhou at the team, which has been taken over from Russian Time.

Both drivers conducted post-season testing with Russian Time in Abu Dhabi this year, with Ghiotto returning to the rebranded outfit he took a career-best fဣourth in the F2 standings with in 2017.

“I am obviously very excited to be joining UNI-Virtuosi Racing,” ܫGhiotto said.

“I am re-joining this group of hard-working people just 12 months afte🍸r our last race together in 2017.

“Each one in the team have the highest culture of motorsport and a winning pedigree, which you can feel in ever🌳y single act and their approach to motor racing. Obviously, our common target is to do muc🌳h better than in 2017, when we ended fourth in the drivers’ Championship.

“I would like to t꧒hank Paul, Declan, Andy and all the team for this opportunity. I’m sure it is going to be an intense and successful season for us together.”

UNI-Virtuosi team owner A൩ndy Roche added: “Luca tested in Abu Dhabi with us last week and immediately felt comfortable as did the team.

“It was like he had never been away! He will be an invaluable asset to the t🍌eam for 2019 and, alongside Guanyu Zhou, we have a formidable pairing for the upcoming season.”
