Although the FIA failed to make any proposals during a crunch meeti🧸ng of the F1 Commission on Monday, a statement from the FIA said “structural changes” and an “action plan” would be announced later this week. 

Michael Masi’s future as FIA race director has been called into question after he failed to implement the rules co🌊rrectly during a late Safety Car period and subsequently altered the outcome of the world championship. 

Masi forced a one-lap shoot-out that gave Max Verstappen the chance to overtake long-time race leader Lewis Hamilton and clinch his maiden world title in a hugely dramatic and contentious conclusion to the s🍌eason. 

Speaking to Sky Sports F1 after Monday’s meeting, Ben Sulayem ♈said: "We agreed on certain things, and the analysis is🅠 still going on, but it will come soon. 

"It was a good discussion there [and] information wil🏅l be announceಞd, but definitely as I said, the integrity of the FIA will always be intact. I am elected to do that but also have fair motorsport, as that's my duty. 

“So it was a very good meeting. We went through a lot of important things for tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhe sea💟son, so I expect a good F1 season. 

“We can only go forward. This is important f🎀or the FIA, for the integrity of the FIA and for the sport. So we can only improve the future."

According to Sky, Masi is poised to to take 👍up a different safety-based role within the FIA for the upcoming season, while the responsibilities of the race director could be shared between two individuals with increased support. 

Ben Sulayem also claimed tha🤡t F1 rivals Mercedes and Red Bu🗹ll were in “harmony” during the high-level meeting. 

"They were in line," he said. "I think it's because of Vaꦇlentine's Day.

"They were close to each other and they were in a good mood, so that was good. I expe⭕cted more entertainment but it was good to see the haꦿrmony between them."
