Charles Leclerc isolating after testing positive for COVID-19 again

The Ferrari Formula 1 team has announced that Charles Leclerc has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in 2021.

The꧟ two-time F1 grand prix winner tested positive for coronavirus 🍷in January, suffering mild symptoms.

With the F1 season dꦉone and dusted, Leclerc has returned to his home🧜 in Monaco but tested positive for the virus on his way back from Abu Dhabi.

A statement on Ferrari’s social media, read: “Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow driver Charles Leclerc has tested positive for COVID-19. In accordance with protocols required by FIA and t🐷he team, Charles was tested on his return from Abu Dhabi.

“He is currentl🎉y feeling fine, with mild symptoms and will self-isolate at home.”

Kimi Raikkonen and Niki🦋ta Mazepin both missed races in 2021 after testing positive for COVID-19, while Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll sat♓ out of grands prix last season. 

Leclerc finished 10thꦍ in the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP, dropping to seꦐventh in the drivers’ championship behind Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz and McLaren’s Lando Norris.

Ferrari secured ༒third in the constructors’ championship in 💜2021.
