Nikita Mazepin ruled out of Abu Dhabi F1 finale after positive COVID-19 test

Ahead of Sunday’s 2021 finale in Abu Dhabi, H💧aas announced the Russian had tested positive for COVID-19, ruling him out of the 22ཧnd and last race of his rookie campaign.
Ha𒁏as said Mazepin is “physically well” and asymptomat💖ic but will now have to adhere to the local health guidelines and undergo a period of self-isolation, preventing him from taking part in Sunday’s grand prix.
Mazepin will not be replaced by𝓰 Haas test and reserve Pietro Fittipaldi.
Article 31.1 of the 2021 FIA F1 sportingꦑ regulations prohibits “any driver from starting the race who has not taken part in at least one practice session”.
That means Haas will field just a ღsingle car for the final race of the season, with Mick Schumacher lining up from 19th on the grid.
Mazepin is the first dr𓆉iver to be forced to miss a race this season due to𓆉 contracting COVID-19.
Hi, everyone! Sorry 🍰to report I’ve had a positiv𒅌e Covid test. Feeling totally fine but won’t be able to race today. Wishing all my fellow drivers a fantastic end to the season and sending thanks and love to everyone for their support.
