The Italian appears likely to be without an F1 drive for next season with his Alfa Romeo deaꦰl expiring at the end of the current campaign. 

Alfa Romeo has signed Valtꦚteri Bottas from Mercedes to replace the retiring Kimi Raikkonen but is yet to confirm who will partner the Finn for 2022. 

Formula 2 frontrunners Guanyu Zhou - who is understood to have significant financial backing - and Oscar Pias𒊎tri have both linked with the sole-remaining seat on the grid. ﷽;

Giovinazzi’s seemingly slim chances of staying in F1 have been handed a🌊 slight boost following the collapse of A⛦ndretti’s proposed buyout of the Sauber-run Alfa Romeo team, with IndyCar driver Colton Herta no longer a candidate.  

Asked for an update on his situation ahead of this weekend’s Mexican Grand ෴Prix, Giovinazzi said: “🎃There is no news yet, no answers. 

“Unfortunately it is like this, for sure it’💧s not ideal to come at the track, with you don’t know what you will do next year or what will happen. But it’s like this. 

“Hopefully we will know better, good news soon so at least we🧔 know what will happen, it will better for everyone in the team.” 

Alfa Romeo boss Frederic Vasseur💖 has insisted on multiple occasions that the team is in⛎ no rush to confirm its line-up for 2022. 

Giovinazzi said all he can do now is focus on putting in strong perform🎶ances across the final five rounds of the season. 

“For sure it’s notꦿ easy, but there’s nothing I c🐷an do,” Giovinazzi added. 

“The only thing I can do is drive fast in the car, bring the result. It’🐽s not my decision, I think it’s more for Fred than ওfor me.”
