The Northamptonshire circuit’s official website listed 1-3 🍸July as the provisional slot for next year’s British Grand Prix in an announcement on Friday ahead of the start of ticket sales.

F1 has not yet released a provisional calendar for the 2022 season, though it is expected to begin i๊n the Middle East in March.

A double-header consisting of races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia has been mooted as the most likely opening to F1’s new era with sweeping regulation changes c𒅌oming into force.

Silverstone hosted the largest attended event in the UK since the start🌳 of the COVID-19 pandemic on July 18 when a capacity 140,000 crowd witnessed Lewis Hamilton claim his eighth British Grand Prix victory.

A 1-3 July slot would mark the earliest British Grand Prix since 2013, when the racꦯe was held on 30 J💃une.

Sꦰilverstone hosted the fourth round of the ﷽2000 F1 world championship in April, which remains the earliest date for a British Grand Prix.

Four triple-headers took place last se💖ason and this weekend’s Italian Gr⛦and Prix will mark the second of three planned triple-headers in 2021.

Team bosses have urged F1 to stop scheduling 𓆉triple-headers ౠin future calendars due to the increased pressures placed on staff.

2021 will mark the longest season in F1 history with 22 races if the remaining rounds are cౠompleted as planned. 

“The most important thing for my point of view is obviously that we don’t further increase the number of ra🎃ces a year,” said McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl. “I think what we have in place now is already too much in terms of the burden on our people.

“And🦹 then a very important topic is also the number of triple-headers. From my point of view, we should avoid completely again, to reduce the burden on our people, the triple-headers on the calendar. We should try to get through avoiding any triple-headers, to be honest.”
