Schumacher excited to race at ‘special’ Spa 30 years after father's F1 debut

Seven-time champion Michael Schum🔜acher made his F1 debut at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix for Jordan.
Mick drove his father’s𝓰 Jordan 191 earli𓃲er in the year at Silverstone.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s Belgian GP, he said: “Obviously it is [special], yeah. Not just b𒊎ecause of the history of my dad but I’ve had a few good races here. I had my first pole position, my first race win in 2018 with F3 which became a streak with multiple race wins.
“It🎀’s a track that I enjoy a lot and I enjoy coming back here. It’s close to home, a lot of fans come here and people support me for nu𓆉merous years now. It’s a great place.”
Netflix is releasing a documentary titled ‘Schumacher’ - focusing on Mic꧒hael’s career, with Mick and his family featuring throughout.
It is set to be released on September 5 and Mick has urged fans to watch itꦿ, describing the documentary as “very emotiꦿonal”.
“It’s going to be a very emotional documentary/film for many people because it’s brought a lot of people into the sport but also I think when people were growing up they obviously watched my dad,𓄧” he added.
“Fꦗor me, it’s been very emotional to see it but the best thing I can 🙈say is for everybody to have a look at it and just watch it, experience it for themselves because I don’t really want to spoil too much.”
