McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norri꧟s has explained his approach to 🌌using social media and says it has always been “part of my life”.

The 20-year-old is an avid u🐼ser of social media and has a combined following of over one million people betw🅘een his Twitter and Instagram accounts, while he is also retains a regular presence on the live-streaming entertainment platform Twitch.

Aꦉs one of the youngest drivers on the grid, Norris has gained popularity - particularly among t♔he younger generation of F1 fans - for his social media activity, including embracing ‘meme culture’.

The Briton says the rati🃏onale behind his social media usage is based on wanting to provide F1 fans with a better insight into the life of a raci🐲ng driver.

"I’v🤡e grown up within this, and I’ve always been on social media since I was a little kid, too early maybe ܫfor what I should have done,” Norris explained at Autosport International.

“It’s part of my life, giving you guys and fa🐈ns and whoever is at home a better behind-the-scenes, a better knowledge of what a Formula⛄ 1 driver does, how they act, what they get up to and so on.

“That’s just what I want to do, just enjoy it, and give people something that they do꧒n’t see with many other drivers.

“With streaming on Twitch and just 🎀people watching me at home playing on a simulator or playing ℱgames or whatever, no other driver does that.

“So it’s just to show what I love doing, to give people a better insight of𝓡 what I get up to, and I hope t🐟hey like it.”

Norris’ use of social media did not prove an unwelcome distraction during his rookie F1 campaign, as he turned in a number of impressive performances to help McLaren secure fourth spot iඣn the constructors’ championship and bagged himself 11th place in the drive𓃲rs’ standings.
