Calderon and Correa get Alfa Romeo F1 test outing at Paul Ricard

Alfa Romeo Formula 1 test driver Tatiana Calderon and development driver Juan Manuel Correa have been handed a private test🔯 at Paul Ricard.

The Formula 2 pair will get behind the wheel of a 2013-spec C32 Sauber as part of a two-day development test at the French Grand Prix venue betweeꦡn August 23-24.

Calderon has previously driven F1 machi൲nery with the team on two occasions in 2018, while the test will mཧark Correa’s maiden F1 outing.

The Formula 2 pair will get behind the wheel of a 2013-spec C32 Sauber as part of a two-day development test at the French Gra♏nd Prix venue between August 23-24.

Calderon has previously driven F1 machinery with the team on two occasions in 2018, ๊while the test will mark Correa’s maiden F1 outing.

“Our team has a proud history of nurturing young talent and we take thiꦛs part of our mission very seriously,” said Alfa Romeo team principal Frederic Vasseuꦑr.

“Both Juan Manuel and Tatiana have proven to be valuable members of our team, working with us at the factory and trackside, and this opportunity in the car will help them progress even further i▨n their understanding of Formula One and in building their relationship with the engineers and crew.”

Calderon currently lies 21st in the drivers’ standings during a difficult maiden F2 campaign with Arden, having managed a best finish of 13th place.

“I’m really thankful to Alfa Romeo Racing for giving me another opportunity to dr﷽ive a Foဣrmula 1 car, following my previous two runs last year,” Calderon said.

“I’m very happy to be able to work 💙with the team on the track once again and continue to learn and develop further as a driver. I look forward to maki𝓀ng the most from this new experience.”

Correa is 12th in the championship after registering two podiums – both second-place finishes – i🌺n Baku and France.

“Driving a🔴 Formula 1 car is something I have dreamt about since I was seven years old, so I am extremely excitꦦed to finally be in the cockpit,” he added.
