Sergio Perez hopes this weekend’s German Grand Prix will prove to be a “turning point” in Racing Point’s📖 2019 Formula 1🌠 season.

Th❀e British squad sits seventh in the constructors’ championship and is locked on 19 points with eighth-placed Toro Rosso. Neither Racing Point driver has been able to register points since June’s Canadian Grand Prix, with both Perez and Lance Stroll missing out on the top 10 again at the British Grand Prix last time out.

As a result, the team has fallen seven points adrift of Alfa Romeo and is already 41 points behind current midfield leaders McLare🍌n.

“I hope Germany will be a turning point in our seas✤on,”♚ he said.

“I’ve been unlucky lately, especially in Silverstone last week where we deseꩲrved to get a decent result.

“I believe we can make some good steps with the car before the ꦯsummer break 🦂and hopefully our luck will change too.

“I believe in the work we are dꦉoing and I know it’s just a matter of time until we get back to where we belong –🎃 scoring points."

Stroll, who ౠscore꧃d the team’s most recent points at his home race in Montreal, hopes an increased development push will help improve Racing Point’s fortunes.

“We’ve had a tough few෴ races recently and our s🐻hare of bad luck, but the mood in the team is still upbeat,” he explained.

“There’s new stuff coming to the car this weekend so there’s going to be a 𝔍lot of learning during the practice sessions.

“This team is very ൩good at 🐲developing a car across a season and I’m optimistic we can make some progress this weekend.”

CEO and team principal Otmar Szafnauer believes Si༒lverstone was a “missed opportunity” for his si꧂de and hopes some new aerodynamic updates will help unlock more potential from the RP19.

“At the half-way point of the season we certainly believe there is more potential to come fro⭕m the ꦑRP19,” he added.

“With an incredibly close middle of the grid, there will be some weekends that play more to our strengths and it’s impಌortant that we capitalise on those.

“Silverstone was a missed opportunity to score points and a number of factors counted against us, combined with some bad luck too.

“This weekend sees the arrival of some aero developmen♚t items as we continue our push to bring performance to the track. We will use Friday for testing to hopefully unlock more speed from the car.”
