Daniel Ricciardo hit with Spain grid penalty after Kvyat collision

Daniel Ricciardo has bee🌺n hit with a three-place grid penalty for the Spanish Grand Prix after reversing into Daniil Kvyat's car during Sunday's race in Azerbaijan.

Ricciardo and Kvyat both took to the run-off area at Turn 4 after locking up while fighting for position, with Ricciar🗹do attempting to try and back out onto the track by reversing.

However, ܫRicciardo drove his Renault straight into the path of Kvyat's Toro Rosso, leaving both cars with damage that would ultimat💝ely force both drivers to retire from the race.

The stewards looked dimly on the incident, confirming after the race that Riccꦇiardo had received a three-place grid penal൩ty for causing a collision.

Ricciardo also picks up two penalty points on his FIA Sup🅠er License, which are his first for 🔯this 12-month period.
