Sauber praises Calderon's 'excellent' performance in latest F1 test

Tatiana Calderon has completed her latest Form♓ula 1 test with Sau🙈ber at the Fiorano Circuit, with the team praising her “excellent” performance.

The Colombian GP3 racer drove⛄ a 2013 Ferrari-powered V8 Sauber C32 during the two-day test at the Italian circuit.

It followed Calderon’s first laps behind the wheel of Sauber's 2018 challenger, as s🀅he took part in a filming dayཧ with the Swiss squad at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez after last month’s Mexican Grand Prix.

It followed Calderon’s first laps behind the whe🐽el of Sauber's 2018 chal♚lenger, as she took part in a filming day with the Swiss squad at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez after last month’s Mexican Grand Prix.

The Sauber development driver turned in 202 laps - the equiv༺alent of 594.890km - across the two days at Fiorano and set a best lap time of 58.802s on Sunday as she focused on qualifying and race simulations.

Sauber said Calderon “delivered an excellent performance” and managed “cons♎istent lap times while demonstrat🧸ing dedication and endurance."

“It was another interꩲesting day of testing,” Calderon added.

“We focused 🍎on qualif꧅ying simulations in the morning, and long-runs in the afternoon.

“Overall, the past two days have been very beneficial to m🐎y development and I have gained valuable experience.

“The team did a great job in the preparation as well as the implement💛ation of my programme and I felt comfortable in the car as well as on the track.

“I look forward to putting what I have learned to practice.”

Calderon is understood to be c👍h♎asing a move up to Formula 2 for the 2019 season.
