“I was P7 and secure, because here there 🤪is no ꦫovertaking. We lost a couple of good points today,” Alonso said.

“I don’t know exactly, something on the gearbox or some꧂thing on the engine, but we ⛄lost power and we lost the sync of the gears.”

Alonso did not min🎃ce his words when summing up the race as a whole, calling it “extremely boring”.

“This is probably the most boring race ever, without a Safety Car, wꦉithout yellow flags,” Alonso said.

“I think the sporℱt needs to think a little bit about the show, because this is very disappointing.

“I think probably we need to give somet🍒hing to the fans at the end of the race to pay a 🦹little bit of their ticket back.”

All of the top six in Monaco finished where they started, with over🅺takes being few and far betwe🉐en during the race, but Alonso believes this is not a result of the wider cars now used in F1.

“No, I think it’s just Monaco. We know🌸 how it is,” Alonso said.

“We just start in our qualy position more or less and we run until th🅷e chequered flag in that po൩sition.

“Unfortunately we had the fai🌟lure and we could not secure𝔍 this seventh place and the points for the team, but hopefully next time we can finish.”
