Kamui Kobayashi says he is now co✅nsidering his options for the future having once again been left without an F1 drive in the wake of Caterham's withdrawal from the upcoming United States and Brazilian Grand Prix races.

Kobayaꦉshi has endured a fractious relationship with Caterham since it was taken over by a Swiss consortium, recently revealed to be a firm named Evangest SA, the Japanese driver controversially dropped for the Bel🎉gian Grand Prix in favour of Andre Lotterer.

Though he returned for the next race in Italy and has competed in each event thereafter, Kobayashi's place in the team remained under threat up un💞til Caterham was placed into administration last weeꦦk following a row between Evangest and former team CEO Tony Fernandes.

With Caterham set to miss the American and Brazilian events at least, Kobayashi says he i✨s already looking to the future.

"Unfortunately, due to team's situation, I will not able to race in United States GP and Brazilian GP," he wrote on his personal website. "I am very sorry for the fans looking forward those races. While I am carefully observing the situ💝ation, I will evaluate possibilities and make best choice for my future."

Similarly, Ericsson is disappointed to have potentially seen his rookie F1 season cut short,♛ but says he is staying positive for the future.

"Turbulent times," he wrote on his Instagram page. "A lot of thi꧟ngs going on at the moment. But I'm pushing on as usual and keeping my spirit high. Thanks to all my amazing fans for all your support."

Caterham and Marussia will both miss the United States Grand Prix afte꧑r being placed into adm🐲inistration, leaving a grid of just 18 cars for the Circuit of the Americas event.
