Pastor Maldonado has been🌜 reprimanded for not replaci🅰ng his steering wheel after stopping on track.

Having had to stop at Turn 3 during the f🅺irs🔯t part of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, Maldonado took his steering wheel off to get out of the car but did not replace it afterwards. As a result, marshals were unable to quickly remove the car.

The stewards investigated the offence after the end of qualifying and decided that a more severe punishment would not be suitable due to where Maldonado had💮 pulled off the track.

"The Stewa🔯rds noted that the car was not left in a danꦜgerous position on the track and therefore a reprimand was appropriate," the decision read.

The reprimand is Maldonado's first of the season, though he als🃏o has four penalty points for pr💝evious incidents this year.
