Ahead of th❀e F1 Hungarian G🌼rand Prix, Alonso insisted that "my priority is to be with Alpine - probably my wish is to stay".

He insisted that he wanted his future sort🅠ed within the F1 summer break, which began immediately after the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Alonso's current deal with Alpine is due to expire at the end of 2022 and, although he admitted that ꧂he hadn't yet held talks to extend his stay, he believed an agreement could be found "in 10 minutes".

He was asked about replacing Vettel at Aston Martin and answered💝 by revealing how he spoke t✨o the team in 2020 but "it didn't go well".

But Alonso did admit: "All the teams are an option as long as they don’t have two dri𝔉vers signed."

That proved to be a statement wh꧟ich paved the way for him to pu✤t pen to paper with his new team, and announce an agreement just four days after those words.
