WorldSBK: Toprak Razgatlioglu could be set for official MotoGP test with Yamaha

Ahead of a potential 2023 MotoGP move, Toprak Razgatlioglu looks set to take part in an official pre-season test with Yamaha should his WorldSBK commitments al෴low ✨it.
The 2021 WorldSBK champion has already confirmed that he will be riding a Yamaha M1 alongside the Japanese manufacturer’s official test rider Cal Crutchlow, however, that was in the form of private tests 𓆏alone.
And while that remains the most likely scenario at this stage, an of🌊ficial test hasn’t been ruled out by Razgatlioglu’s manager, Kenan S🎃ofuoglu.
Sofugolu told : "We are planning a private test and maybe take💯 part in an official part, if the timing suits our calendar. We💧 haven't confirmed an appointment yet, but I assume that Toprak will be on a MotoGP bike this winter."
Should Razgatlioglu take part in either the ෴Sepang or Mandalika official MotoGP pre-season tests with Yamaha, then a move to Grand Prix racing could become even clearer for next season.
ꦅDuring the 2021 season Razgatlioglu remained adamant that not only winning the WorldSBK title, but also staying in that paddock was his main objective.
Add to that, Razgatlioglu signed a contract extension that w🎃ould keep him wit♈h Pata Yamaha until the end of 2023.
However, with the Turkish rider 💙having already secured a maiden world title which came during race one of the season finale in Mandalika, and both he and Team Principal Paul Denning hinting that a move to MotoGP could take place before his WorldSBK contract is up, the 25 year-old’s tests will all-but confirm his intentions.
What is definite, is that Razgatli🌌oglu will defend his WorldSBK title in 2022, while Kawasaki rider Jonathan Rea will of course start th🌸e season as his main challenger once again.
